The Vampire Diaries Logic Fails For Season 6, Episode 9

Delena’s “plan” to save BonnieThey couldn’t be bothered to meet Bonnie halfway?! Maybe save the girl some stress? Nope, instead Damon and Elena decide to spend their time arguing about who wants to save Bonnie more. Major logic fail or extremely in-character? We can’t tell.
Kai’s dominance against everyoneWe get that Kai is psychotic and sporadically magical, but we’re still not sure he should stand any kind of chance against vampires, Tyler, or Liv as a mature witch.
Elena’s porch swingWe’re still not sure about the logistics of the prison world, but shouldn’t Damon have to fix Elena’s porch swing everyday for it to work? Did he run over to Elena’s house while she was searching for Bonnie in the Salvatore mansion to impress the girl? Actually, that sounds like something that could happen.
Liv’s insistence on returning to Mystic Falls. We totally understand that Liv fears for her life, but we don’t get how that translates into having to return to Mystic Falls and cutting Delena’s prison world trip short. Kai can come after her there, too, and — if it’s just a magical Kai she’s worried about — stand over the Mystic Falls border until you’re ready to do the spell. We would be so awesome at living in Greater Mystic Falls.
Elena joggingDo vampires have to work out? Was this just Elena humoring Jeremy? Because it weirded us out seeing Elena go for a jog.
Kai is hip with the times. Either Kai is a genius or we’re totally not buying his ability to immediately figure out the modern world. He’s been out of his prison world for a few days maybe and he is already wearing skinny jeans, has a smart phone, and knows about Twitter?! We call shenanigans, TVD. Especially given Kai’s insistence that he has other priorities.
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
