Nina Dobrev Buys New Home in Los Angeles, Talks Holiday Plans

While Elena Gilbert is still a student at Whitmore College and unable to return to her Mystic Falls home, Nina Dobrev is jetsetting and purchasing homes with ease. The 25-year-old Vampire Diariesstar opened up to E! Online about her recent real estate investment as well as what she’ll be up to this holiday season.

Nina didn’t reveal many details about her new abode, but she did let us all in on some of her grand ideas about playing hostess with her gal pals as soon as she gets everything situated. The new house is in Los Angeles and will most likely be Nina’s home away from Atlanta and a place for her to crash when she’s not filming The Vampire Diaries.

“One of my favorite things to do is host a girls night where my girlfriends and I can get together and come together in the kitchen, test out new recipes, and just enjoy each others company,” she told the site. “I also love throwing a good game night with running charades and all! I’m especially excited to host these dinner and game nights once I’ve finished decorating my home, and after attending the new Restoration Hardware RH Atlanta Gallery store opening, I have so many ideas.”

Though she’s got big plans with her friends, Nina is also eager to head home for the holidays and spend some much-needed time with the fam.

“I’m really excited and looking forward to spending time with my family over the holidays. Since we don’t get to see each other very much during the year, I love to take full advantage of the time we get to spend together,” she continued. "It's going to be a great time filled with days on the slopes snowboarding with my brother and spending nights around the fireplace with my family hopefully making lots of s'mores."
