The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Midseason Premiere — When Is It?

Can you believe we’re almost halfway through Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries? Yeah, neither can we! While we’re anxiously counting down the days until the sure-to-be epic midseason finale airing on December 11, it’s already time to look ahead to when the dreaded winter hiatus will come to an end — much like the no-magic zone needs to be lifted from Mystic Falls!

According to The CW, both TVD and its Thursday night pal Reign will be returning on January 22. What’s really special about this hour of vampire goodness, however, is that it’ll mark Paul Wesley’s second time in the director’s chair. That’s right, the 32-year-old actor is responsible for puttingSeason 6, Episode 11 (“Woke Up With a Monster”) together and delivering what’s going to be another slam dunk.

Season 6 of TVD is shaping up to be one of the best yet! After a rocky Season 5, the show is back to delivering fresh stories and lots of character development — something the series was famous for when it premiered in 2009. We’ve finally got Damon back to the land of the living and the next goal is to get Bonnie back as well. Will she be back before the second half of the season kicks off? We’ll have to wait and see!
