Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Synopsis For Season 6, Episode 9 — "I Alone"

Damon may have escaped from the ever-mysterious 1994 hell — but what aboutBonnie? The Mystic Falls gang hasn’t given up hope on rescuing their witch pal and it sounds like there’s renewed hope when Season 6, Episode 9 (“I Alone”) of The Vampire Diariesgraces our TV screens.

The CW released the synopsis for the episode and it’s Elena who isn’t letting Bonnie be forgotten. She’ll run to little brother Jeremy to share some “hopeful news” about Bonnie — but his reaction isn’t exactly what we’ll expect. Could he have moved on? Has he finally cancelled her cellphone bill?

Elsewhere in the episode, Liv (Penelope Mitchell) will lend a hand in rescuing Bonnie but when things take an “unexpected turn” she’ll have an important and “difficult” decision to make. Could the blonde witch have to sacrifice something in order to get Bonnie back? Does this have something to do with her own coven?

“Damon finds himself in hot water after he carries out a plan that requires Alaric’s  unwilling participation. When Elena shares some hopeful news with Jeremy about Bonnie, she is caught off guard by his reaction. Liv helps Damon and Elena with their plan to get Bonnie back, but when things take an unexpected turn, she’s left with a difficult choice to make. Elsewhere, Matt takes matters into his own hands when Enzo’s actions cross the line, and Kai’s existence continues to be a dangerous threat.”

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
