Is Nina Dobrev Single?

Nina Dobrev’s love life is a hot topic amongst celebrity gossip outlets, but the Vampire Diaries actress is more than just her relationship status — and she’s taking to WhoSay to make that crystal clear. Is Nina single? We’ll let her take this one herself!

Nina posted an image on WhoSay with the words “Single,” “Taken,” and “Building my empire,” with boxes next to each of those options. Which one did Nina choose? “Building my empire,” of course! How very Klaus Mikaelson of her.

This isn’t the first time Nina has made a joke out of the media’s obsession with her love life. After reports that she and Orlando Bloom were making out at Comic-Con took on a life of their own in the tabloids, Nina took to Twitter to say: "Apparently I have SOOOO many boyfriends. Here's four more," she tweeted, along with a picture of her TVD co-stars Joseph Morgan, Zach Roerig, Steven R McQueen, and Matt Davis. "I'm so busy. #TabloidSillyness."

She followed up that tweet with another, featuring this picture of a hairless cat and the caption: "Oh wait, one more suitor! This guy."

Nina is such a talented actress, and we can imagine how it might be frustrating when so much of her media coverage focuses on who she is or isn’t dating. This women successfully played three characters in the same scene last year on TVD. Where’s all the speculation on which challenging film roles Nina should be cast in next?
