Vampire Diaries Spoiler: Delena Will Be Hooking Up!

 

 

 

And the awesome Delena news keeps rolling in! Damon and Elena have been through a lot this past season of The Vampire Diaries, but things are certainly looking up. What did executive producer Julie Plec tell E! Online about an upcoming Delena hookup?

When asked who she was referring to in a tweet that there would be a hookup, breakup, and makeup when TVD returns, Julie teased: "I can tell you that the hookup is…people who like rain will be very happy." Yep, she’s referring to all fans of Delena, aka the couple that shared this epic rain makeout flashback earlier this season. And, no, we will never be able to watch that scene enough times.
This in the wake of other promising Delena spoilers coming out of the Television Critics Association press tour panel over the weekend. Julie teased that Delena would be striving for “a functional relationship” when TVD returns, and that fans will get to see these two in the beginning stages of their new romance. Ian is on board with the plan, adding that Damon and Elena are “very deserving” of happiness after all of the misery and heartbreak they’ve endured.
And, before you start worrying that the breakup in Julie’s original tweet might pertain to Delena, too, she confirmed that the hookup, breakup, and makeup refer to different characters. So, watch out the rest of TVD. But, Delena, enjoy the honeymoon period. You just know it’s only a matter of time before someone dies or gets amnesia.
