Nina Dobrev Reacts to Delena Winning a People's Choice Award!

 

 

If you were wondering why Nina Dobrev had yet to react to the People’s Choice Award win for “Favorite TV Duo” for Damon and Elena, then you have your answer! Apparently, the news had yet to reach New Zealand, where the Vampire Diaries actress is currently vacationing. Here’s how Nina finally reacted to her PCA win!

“Apparently news does NOT travel fast because I'm across the world in New Zealand and I just heard the news. Thank you so much for all the votes, passion, and undying (pun intended) love!” Nina captioned an Instagram photo of Delena as “Favorite TV Duo.” “You people rock my world... Love you back , wish I could have been here in person to accept the #PeoplesChoice Award. Grateful for your love and support. Forever yours, xo Nina @peopleschoice #PeoplesChoice @iansomerhalder #TVD #Delena @julieplec @kevwilliamson.”
Ian was more speedy in his response to winning the PCA, tweeting: “Thank you all once again for the outpour passion that results n these nominations for @peopleschoice awards! I am so thankful! YOU'RE AMAZING!”
Nina and Ian beat out David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel from Bones, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas from Once Upon a Time, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles from Supernatural, and Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic from Castle to win the PCA for the second consecutive year. All hail Delena!
The PCA was great, but that wasn’t even the best Delena news we’ve heard all week. TVD showrunner Julie Plec teased a “functional relationship” for these two lovebirds as Season 6 progresses. It sounds like we’ll be getting to see the initial, lovey-dovey stages of their relationship like we didn’t before. Yep, it’s a good week to be a Delena fan.
