Vampire Diaries Synopsis: Season 6 Episode 12 — "Prayer For the Dying"

 

Papa Parker is coming to town on The Vampire Diaries, you guys! The synopsis for Season 6, Episode 12 (“Prayer For the Dying”) teases many things — from death to twin merges — but it all seems to revolve around the Gemini Coven patriarch. How will Liv, Luke, Jo, and Kai deal with dear ol’ dad?

With their dad coming to Mystic Falls, Liv and Luke — celebrating their birthday — are going to try and convince him to let Jo and Kai be the unlucky set of twins to go through the merge we know so little about. Even Tyler Lockwood is going to have a chat with Mr. Parker in attempts to save his girlfriend.
In other news, Caroline Forbes is pulling out all the stops to save her mom and that quest will take a “devastating turn” and Elena Gilbert , Stefan Salvatore, and Damon Salvatore will gather at the hospital. Needless to say, things are going to get very dramatic.

“When Liv and Luke’s father arrives to town to celebrate their birthday, they try and convince him to let Jo and Kai take their place in the merge ceremony. After Tyler finds out that the merge is happening sooner than he expected, he urges Liv to let him talk to her father. Meanwhile, after Caroline’s plan to cure her mother takes an unexpected and devastating turn, Elena, Stefan, and Damon gather at the hospital, while Jo attempts to save Sheriff Forbes’ (Marguerite MacIntyre) life. Lastly, with the merge set to take place, Damon’s risky plan quickly sends things spiraling out of control, forcing one of the twins to take matters into their own hands.”
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
