We may have to wait until January 22nd for another new episode of The Vampire Diaries, but showrunner Julie Plec has us covered with some killer teases for the rest of Season 6. What did she reveal on Twitter about TVD’s return?
Jeremy is apply for art school. Yep, you heard that right. According to Julie, “Jeremy Gilbert applies to art school. No really. #tvd 2015 #dotheyhavecrossbowsthere.” We didn’t know Jer had artistic ambitions. Frankly, we’re just glad to hear he’ll have a storyline that doesn’t involve him moping.
Elena gets a proposition. Said proposition “could change her life forever.” Might this have something to do with her vampirism? Or maybe she’s becoming a real-life doctor?
Steroline may be a go.
“Stefan Salvatore fixes a friendship....and then some,” according to Julie. Sounds to us like Steroline is moving full steam ahead.
So many flashbacks. Not only are we getting an “1858 Damon Salvatore,” but we will see separate flashbacks to both Stefan and Caroline as children. This excites us terribly.
Tyler totally loves Liv. “Tyler Lockwood takes a stand on behalf of his girl” in TVD 2015. So same storyline, then? We’re not sure how we feel about Tyler’s entire storyline being about Liv, but these two are pretty adorable together.
Matt gets a storyline. Maybe. Speaking of people who need better storylines, “Matt Donovan gets a life calling” when TVD returns. Does this refer to Enzo’s plan to use Matt to ruin Stefan’s life or is our Matty Blue Eyes getting a storyline of his own?
Happy birthday, Bonnie. Poor, Bon Bon. When TVD returns, our favorite witch will celebrate her birthday. Hopefully, more people show up to this party than her Christmas celebration. We also know that “Bonnie WILL return....” though the timeline and state of her mind upon said return is in question.
Characters will die. As in multiple. We’re guessing Liz Forbes may be one of the characters in question (sob), but who else is set to die?
Relationship drama. According to Julie, “There will be a hook-up, a break-up, and a make-up. Not necessarily by the same couple.” There will also be “A LOT of kissing. By more than one couple.” Sounds like TVD is really ramping up the relationship drama.
The real Sarah Salvatore. Would the real Sarah Salvatore please stand up? We’ll be meeting Stefan and Damon’s true niece (or whatever), and we’re very excited. How will she feel about the fact that Damon killed both of her parents? Or that Stefan has been looking out for her? And what changed her mind about coming to meet her biological family members?
The merge is happening. “There WILL be a merge: but with which witches? (say that ten times fast),” teased Julie. Anyone taking bets?
There will be tears. This isn’t much of a spoiler because TVD gets us in the feels every episode, but Julie tweeted: “2015 has some really tremendous stuff coming. Kai is a dick, no shocker there, but I also cry every single freakin' episode I've seen.” Better put tissues on your Christmas wishlist, TVDers!
