The Vampire Diaries Season 6, Episode 7 Promo Breakdown — "Do You Remember the First Time?"

This week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries beautifully dealt with the fallout from Damon’s return from the dead and Stefan’s decision to turn Enzo over to Tripp. But, from the looks of the promo for Season 6, Episode 7 (“Do You Remember the First Time?”), life will be moving forward in the wake of the quasi-resolution of those two issues. And how does TVD move on? With a party, of course! Here’s the promo breakdown.

Party at Whitmore. Oh, TVD, how we miss your extravagant Mystic Falls parties. This episode, it looks like Whitmore College is taking a page out of the old Mystic Falls festivities handbook and throwing a gala of their own. Sign us up!

Jo and Damon meet. We’re very much on board with Jo’s matter-of-fact supernatural character (it didn’t hurt that she made Alaric human again, either), and it looks like she and Damon will finally meet. They seem pretty comfortable with one another in the promo, despite the news Jo gives Damon.

Elena is still dating Liam. So Elena is still casually seeing Liam. In the promo, we see them lock lips and show up to aforementioned party together. We love that Elena is not dropping everything to run back to Damon’s side. Given that she can’t remember anything, this makes total sense, and will make their eventual romantic reunion that much more compelling. Poor Liam, though. This can’t end well for him.

Is Damon trying to compel Elena? At :04, we get a shot of one of Damon’s eyes -- vamp, are those things beautiful! Is he trying to compel Elena’s memories back? Maybe, because we also get a shot of Elena telling Damon somewhat forcefully, “I don’t remember us.” Damon rebuts with: “I do.” Thanks for the recap, guys.

Liam vs. Damon showdown. You better believe Damon is sizing up the competition. Liam thinks he could take down Damon (lol), and Damon thinks Liam’s confidence is sexy. Elena did admit she has a type!

Flashbacks to Delena’s epic love story? The promo also features some split-second flashbacks to Delena’s epic love story — that first dance, that first meeting, etc. Will we be getting Delena flashbacks in this episode? It serves to reason given the episode’s title, but we hope this doesn’t turn into one of those flashback recap episodes other shows are so fond of. If we want to relive Delena’s relationship, we can watch a fanvid.
