Vampire Diaries Season 6 Spoiler: Is Caroline Getting Over Stefan?

Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete with some degree of squabbling between loved ones. This TV season, it’s The Vampire Diaries’ Caroline and Stefan who are doing their part to keep up the holiday tradition — and our Care Bear is not doing so well dealing with it. What did Candice have to tell TV Line about Caroline’s coping skills?

“She made it very clear at the end of the last episode that she hates him,” Candice said of the current state of the Steroline dynamic. “So when planning a Friendsgiving, according to her, he doesn’t necessarily fall into that category anymore.”

Though Caroline is arguably one of the most emotionally healthy characters on this show (which is, granted, not a high bar to clear), she will not be doing a great job at processing her feelings this Friendsgiving: “Usually, she just likes to cover [her problems] up and pretend everything’s fine,” Candice teased, “so we’ll probably see a little bit of that.” We hope Caroline’s friends realize denial will be the main course served at Thanksgiving dinner.

Another important question: Is Stefan in denial about his feelings for Caroline, or does he really just think of her as a friend? In this sneak peek from tonight’s episode, we see Damon and Alaric trying to convince Stefan to date Caroline. Stefan’s response? “I don’t think about her that way. She’s my friend.” Doth the man protest too much? Or should everyone just lay off Stefan for a little bit?
