Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Season 6 Villain Is "Crazy" and "Psychotic"
Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries is turning out to be quite a confusing one — especially for Elena who recently had her memory tampered by Alaric in hopes of forgettingDamon — but what this season is lacking so far is a big bad. What did executive producer Caroline Dries tell TVLine about the upcoming villain?
“He is just like a crazy person,” Caroline told the site about Kai, who will emerge in the next few episodes. “[He’s] very charismatic and charming and psychotic. Likeable and unlikeable in all the right ways. He’s going to stick around for a while.”
Hmm, color us intrigued! If there’s one piece of criticism we had about Season 5 — actually, we had quite a few — it was the lack of a big bad. Sure, Markos eventually emerged as the leader of the Travelers who seeked to end all magic in existence, but it happened so late in the season. We only got a taste of a big bad last season and it didn’t help that we were on doppelganger overload.
Hopefully by introducing the villain early on this year and making him as likeable as much as unlikeable, we’ll be intrigued enough. According to IMDb, we’ll be introduced to Kai this week inSeason 6, Episode 3 (“Welcome to Paradise”). So much for a long wait!
Other than appearing on The Carrie Diaries as Carrie Bradshaw’s playwright boyfriend Adam Weaver, Chris hasn’t had any notable credits in his career. Moving from one CW show to the other only cements himself as a worthy heartthrob.
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
