Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Sneak Peek Photos For Season 6, Episode 5 — "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here"

By now we’d think the folks on The Vampire Diaries would know to steer clear of any organized festivities going on anywhere near the Virginian hamlet known as Mystic Falls — but apparently nothing has changed. Season 6, Episode 5 (“The World Has Turned and Left Me Here”) is giving us a reason to fear for Alaric’s safety.

According to the synopsis for the October 30 episode, “Heeding Elena’s advice to be more social, Alaric reluctantly attends the [homecoming] party, but a devastating accident quickly leaves him and Jo rushing to save lives.”

From the looks of these photos from the upcoming episode, it looks like Alaric will be on the wrong end of the devastating accident. Not only do we see him with a stake in his side, but we see Jo kneeling beside him and tending to his wounds. Hopefully she won’t find out that he’s an Original vampire like this — that would really hinder the potential romance these two are bound to have. Maybe Alaric will pull the stake out and she’ll just bandage him up. That could be a big moment for these two lovebirds moving forward.
