The Vampire Diaries Promo Breakdown: Season 6, Episode 6 — 9 Things We Learn
Is it next Thursday yet? We need it to be so we can find out how everyone reacts to Damon’s unexpected return on The Vampire Diaries. In the mean time, we’ll just have to make due with the extended promo for the episode. Here are nine things we learned from the preview for Season 6, Episode 6 (“The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get”).
Elena knows Damon is back. We were worried that TVD might draw out the reveal that Damon is back in the land of the living, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Not only do we see Damon announcing it, but Elena also react to the news. “He’s back?!” she asks someone. Read a few passages from your diary professing your undying love for Damon and try that react again, Elena.
Tripp is posing an ultimatum. It seems that Enzo has not been very forthcoming in the giving Tripp more vampire names department. In the promo, we see Tripp tell his vampire prisoner: “Conjure up the location of your vampire friends or you and I are gonna go sightseeing in Mystic Falls.” Yikes!
Alaric and Damon are drinking buddies again. Damon may be pissed that Alaric helped Elena forget their epic love story, but that doesn’t mean he’s not happy to see his BFF. The two are spotted drinking together in the promo, Damon saying: “My best friend compelled my beautiful and lovely girlfriend to forget that she ever loved me. I’m great, Ric.” The friendship love is more subtextual in this clip.
Delena still feels something for each other. Well, obviously Damon is still head-over-heels for his lady love, but the big takeaway from the shot that has Damon and Elena on either side of a door, their hands pressed up against it, is that part of Elena still remembers her love for the “D” man.
Enzo fights back. Enzo may not be as defenseless as Tripp believes him to be. In the promo, we see a loose Enzo smash the window of Tripp’s van. Is this the end for Mystic Falls’ community militia leader?
Damon gets vamp-darted. Before he (potentially) goes, Tripp will add another vampire prisoner to his collection: Damon. In the promo, we see Tripp trapping the newly returned vampire.
