Vampire Diaries Season 6, Episode 3 Promo Breakdown: 9 Things We Learn

The Vampire Diaries picked up the pace with its second episode of Season 6 -- and the fun seems set to continue in Season 6, Episode 3 (“Welcome to Paradise”). Here are 9 things we’ve learned from the extended promo for next week’s all-new installment:

Stefan is out for revenge. If you’re wondering how Stefan reacts to Enzo’s merciless murder of his girlfriend Ivy, it’s not well. In the extended promo, we see Stefan showing his car mechanic boss Ivy’s body in his trunk. “Someone killed her last night. I need to find him and kill him. I need a few days off,” Stefan tells him.

It’s going to be a fair fight. From the looks of the, Stefan and Enzo are pretty evenly matched. We see them facing off in the woods and, aside from the fact that Stefan seems to have brought a shotgun to a knife fight — these two could be battling one another forever.

Stelena is hanging out again. Silver lining of the Enzo/Stefan feud? It brings Stefan back to Mystic Falls — and into Elena’s life again. In the extended promo, we see Elena inviting Stefan to come swimming at the swimming hole. Stefan’s response: “Will Enzo be there?” Ha.

Group hangout. The swimming hole? Totally the place to be. A long shot from the promo shows dozens of college kids hanging out there — and we have a sneaking suspicion it will bring most of our cast together in one place for the first time this season. (Minus a certain pancake-eating, stuck-in-1994 duo.)

Bamon is in danger. Speaking of which, things are heating up for Bamon -- literally. In the promo, we see Damon facing off with someone in a liquor store blaze. Who is the dude in question, and why is he at odds with Bamon? Because they’re kind of adorable. Seriously, True DetectiveSeason 3, you guys!

Tripp is careful with his killing. Now that the cat is out of the bag regarding Tripp’s serial vampire-killing habit, we’re learn more about his nefarious deeds. In the promo, we see him telling someone: “Can’t have you killing. You never know whose eyes are watching.” Who is he in cahoots with? Is it new girl Sarah? And whose eyes are they worried about?

Enzo is not careful with his killing. Enzo has the opposite policy with his killing: he doesn’t care who knows about it. We see him strangling someone at :19 in the promo. Elsewhere, Caroline asks him if the red splotch on his shirt is blood or pie. Yikes!

Tyler and Liv are getting closer. Do yourself a favor and check out the red hot chemistry between Tyler and Liv at :20. These two make staring at one another seem indecent.

Bamon looks scared. They’re putting on a brave front, but Bamon looks kind of freaked out about their predicament. (Wouldn’t you be?) At :19, Damon stares, unsettled, at something off camera. Elsewhere in the promo, Bonnie nervously asks Damon, “Did you see that?” Sleep with one eye open, kids. (And with Miss Cuddles close by.)
