The Vampire Diaries Season 6: Who Is Stefan's New Love Interest?

There was so much to excite us about the brand-spanking new Season 6 trailer for The Vampire Diaries, but perhaps nothing was as unexpectedly intriguing as the appearance of a new lady love for Stefan Salvatore. Who is the mystery woman in bed with Stefan? Read on to find out!

Her name is Ivy. Stefan’s new friend is named Ivy, and she’s played by Emily C. Chang. The Hollywood Reporter described Ivy as “sweet and sincere ... the quintessential girl next door with an unexpected wild side." Sounds like Ivy is a non-supernatural Stefan is shacking up with in the wake of his brother’s apparent death. But, like every other character on this show, she’s probably hiding something, right?

Part of Stefan’s new life. Though we don’t have many details about Stefan’s bed buddy, we do know that when TVD returns Stefan will be far away from Mystic Falls. According to TVGuide.com: Stefan will “definitely not be anywhere near Mystic Falls” and will have “taken up a surprising new profession in his new ‘home.’” We’re guessing Ivy might have something to do with this new locale.

Stefan’s honesty. What’s with Stefan spilling his vampire secrets? In the promo, Ivy asks Stefan to tell her something she doesn’t already know about him. So he straight-up tells her he’s a vampire. Either Ivy has some kind of truth-pulling ability (totally likely, right?) or Stefan just doesn’t care enough about anything right now to break it to her lightly. He can always compel her afterwards, right?

Possible Big Bad? We’re always on the look out for TVD’s next Big Bad. Could Ivy be our girl? We love the idea of another villainess rather than villain and we’re suspicious of any and all new characters. Start placing your bets, people!
