Vampire Diaries Star Paul Wesley Answers Fan Questions

The Vampire Diaries sure knows how to keep us entertained even when they’re keeping mum about the upcoming season. Exhibit A: this hilarious Q&A session with Paul Wesley. In it, the TVD star sits down for a dinner date with the fans, and it may be the best thing we’ve seen all week.

We didn’t think TVD could top the silly video they put out at Comic Con in which Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham try to figure out if they’ve really been killed off the show, but this vid definitely gives it a run for its money. In it, Paul is delivered phones on literal silver platters with questions from fans. All of this takes place at an elaborately laid out table complete with Gothic tapestries and candles and goblets full of “blood.”What details about the new season did Paul reveal? Not very much. He tends to joke-answer the questions, though with a completely straight face. For example, he says that he gets into the acting “zone” by staring at a shirtless photo of Ian Somerhalder for 20 minutes without blinking and watching Ian scenes, then trying to emulate them on set.

But Paul did let some details of the Season 6 Bamon dynamic slip. When asked if the two would bond, he said: “Like a bond, like a friendly bond? Yeah, they have no choice, guys. Because they’re stuck together and they may even make a baby.” OK, we’re pretty sure he’s joking about the whole baby thing, but we don’t think the exaggerating the fact that Damon and Bonnie will literally have no one else to talk to besides one another.
