Children Mending Hearts!

Vampire Diaries Cast to Receive Huge Award From Children Mending Hearts

It’s no shocker that we’re completely in love with the cast of The Vampire Diaries, but it’s good to know that other people are too!
Children Mending Hearts, a non-profit aimed to empower youth and build empathy and global citizenry, is honoring the TVD cast — as well as other celebs — at its sixth annual fundraising benefit “Empathy Rocks: A Spring Into Summer Bash” on June 14 in Beverly Hills. But which CW stars will be there to accept the award?
Kat Graham, Michael Trevino, and Kayla Ewell  will all be present to accept the award on behalf of the TVD family while actress Holly Robinson Peete, pro surfer Rob Machado, and Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh also will be honored.
“Giving kids a global education and encouraging them to find their voices through creativity are essential tools for children to grow up with a sense of compassion and empathy for others,” Children Mending Hearts founder and executive director Lysa Heslov said in a statement. “It is today’s children who will be tomorrow’s leaders — and honoring individuals who further our initiatives are vital in helping us achieve our mission.”
The Vampire Diaries cast will receive the Cast of Heroes Award, which, according to a press release, celebrates “their collective leadership and dedication to social causes and making the world a better place for all.” If you ask us, this award was made for the TVD cast!
There you have it, folks. Don’t consider TVD as your guilty pleasure any longer because this is one all-star cast!
