See Nina Dobrev on Set of Final Girls With Malin Akerman and Adam DeVine
Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev is spending her TVD filming hiatus between Season 5 and 6 hard at work. Currently, the actress is in Louisiana filming a horror comedy with Malin Akerman — and, apparently, having a great time doing it. Check out this photo from the set of The Final Girls!
Nina reposted an on-set pic from her new film on her WhoSay page. In it, we see Nina and Malin — along with a few of their co-stars — hanging around “Eagle Lodge” in various outfits of bright, bright yellow. It looks a bit like summer camp, which has us wondering if that's partially where the movie is set. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film “centers on a girl who, along with her friends, is mysteriously transported into the world of an iconic ’80s horror flick, which starred her recently deceased mother (Akerman), a famous scream queen. The group must try to survive the movie and defeat its crazed killer.” Nina stars as “the alpha best friend” of the group.
In addition to Malin, Nina is starring alongside, Taissa Farmiga, Adam Devine, Alexander Ludwig, and Thomas Middleditch in the Todd Strauss-Schulson-directed film. The gang seems to be having a lot of fun together. Last week, co-star Chloe Bridges shared this photo of some of the cast and crew gathered (including Nina!). She captioned the photo: “Crew love. @ninadobrev @middleditch @ADAMDEVINE @kelleyjakle @alexanderludwig @Emazzing @Tory_is_TNT.” Not to mention Nina got a sweet gift basket on her first day on set. There are worse ways to spend one's summer vacation!
