Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder may no longer be a couple but that didn't stop them getting very up, close and personal with each other when playing their characters Elena and Damon in the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries.
The latest episode of the hit super natural drama was a steamy one last night as Elena returned following the demise of her doppelganger Katherine, and had sex with Damon.
Knowing that Elena was back left Damon promising her: "I am going to hunt you down and give you the most mind-blowing night of your life," whilst he was chained in a dungeon in the Salvatore mansion.
But he wasn't the only prisoner as Elena was also confined to her dorm room after Katherine left her with Wes' ripper virus.

However as the drama continues, Elena makes it out of her dorm and goes to the Salvatore mansion where she and Damon have a heart to heart and a bit of an argument before the pair share a steamy embrace and fall into bed together for a night of passion.
Having watched the steamy scenes between Elena and Damon play out on their TVs, some fans shared their thoughts on the episode on Twitter. Happy that Elena and Damon reunite, one fan tweeted:
"Damon and Elena..... ahhhh....love it!!! Can't get enough!!!!sexiest couple on any show right now!!!!" whilst another fan declared on the social networking site:
"No Elena, hot steamy sex with Damon is not a mistake @cwtvd #TVD @julieplec @iansomerhalder @ninadobrev #Delena."
Praising the episode, another viewer of the CW network show added: "The vampire diaries was incredible, Damon and Elena cannot stay away from each other #Delena @iansomerhalder @ninadobrev @paulwesley."
