We have yet to officially meet The Vampire Diaries’ new Big Bad — sure, we’ve seen Markos for all of five seconds, but we still have no idea what he’s up to — but his portrayer Raffi Barsoumian has already captured our hearts.

Thanks to this recent tweet, we know that the Mystic Falls newbie has a soft spot for cats. (Everybody, now: Awwwww!) “Soft Kitty.Warm Kitty.Little Ball of fur,” Raffi tweeted on April 4, along with an adorable pic of him snuggling up to a fluffy white kitty. Oh, and the hashtag? #AnimalLover. It looks like he’ll fit right in with the TVD cast!

Ian Somerhalder and his orange tabby Moke are quite possibly the cutest duo in ATL, with Paul Wesley and his furry friend, aptly named Cat, coming in a close second. Of course, Nina Dobrev and her snuggle buddy Lynx are as thick as thieves and have been best friends for 15 years!

So we think Raffi is going to have no trouble fitting in with this cat-loving crew. Plus, his love of The Big Bang Theory makes us think Raffi is more of a Leonard than a Klaus.
