Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Synopsis For Season 6, Episode 2: "Yellow Ledbetter"
If you thought the synopsis for the Season 6 premiere of The Vampire Diaries — Season 6, Episode 1(“I’ll Remember”) packed a punch, just wait until you read the synopsis for Season 6, Episode 2(“Yellow Ledbetter”)! We’re not sure why this episode is named after a mumble-filled Pearl Jam song, but we’re running with it and dissecting it piece by piece. Here’s the synopsis, straight from The CW:
Knowing she needs to come to terms with the loss of Damon, Elena turns to Alaric to help her move on with her life. Enzo convinces Caroline to join him as he tracks down a lead to get Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham) back, but Caroline is shocked when they make an unexpected detour and uncover what Stefan has been up to. Meanwhile, Matt worries about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) who is spending time with Sarah (guest star Gabrielle Walsh), a mysterious girl who has recently arrived in Mystic Falls. Elsewhere, Tripp, leader of the community protection program, makes an interesting confession to Matt about his connection to the town. Lastly, with the Other Side destroyed and gone for good, Damon and Bonnie reluctantly band together to uncover the mystery of where they are and how they are going to get back home.
Ignoring any Delena updates, our first takeaway is that Caroline will be bonding with Enzo when she discovers that Stefan has abandoned his friends and is shacking up with some new biddy. We can just imagine how pissed Caroline’s going to be, especially considering he deserted everyone right when the Steroline romance was on the verge of being an actual thing.
The next thing that piqued our interest is that Jeremy is hanging out with one of the new “mysterious” characters. Where did he find her? Are they dating? Is she helping him spiral out of control post-Bonnie’s death? We need to know!
Finally, we notice that Tripp is going to have an intense connection to Mystic Falls and to Matt. Is he Matt’s father? We’re dying to find out!
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
