The Vampire Diaries Season 6: Julie Plec Teases "Saddest" Moment

Stop playing with our heartstrings, Julie Plec! The Vampire Diaries showrunner has way too much power over our emotions, so when she mentions the “saddest” moment of the TVD year, you better believe we take it seriously. Start buying your tissues in bulk, people. Here’s what Julie recently teased about an upcoming Season 6 moment..So what is this comment that has us all in a tizzy? Earlier today, Julie tweeted: “Just watched a scene from #TVD that may go down as one of the happiest-saddest most wonderful moments of the year. We're back Oct 2!!” OK, so “saddest” is buffeted by some kinder terms, but just remember some of the agony TVD has caused us in the past. This show’s basically a tear-making machine.

On the other hand, could this be a clue at when Damon and Bonnie might be making it back to their loved ones? We definitely think long-awaited reunions between people who thought they would pretty much never see one another again would qualify for the aforementioned adjectives. Although, the more we think about Bamon’s collective dilemma, the more we worry that only one-half of the dream team is going to make it back from the other-plane. (And it has to be Damon, right?) Might that be the reason behind the seeming contradiction in Julie’s tweet? Or is she talking about another happy-sad moment altogether?
