Vampire Diaries Season 6 Spoilers: Stefan Turns to a "Surprising Source" For Comfort

Vampire Diaries Season 6 will pick up well after the apparent deaths of Bonnie and Damon — which means we can expect to find their loved ones in various states of acceptance. We’re particularly worried about Stefan, who we’re guessing will blame himself for his brother’s seeming death. What did TVLine tease about Stefan’s state in Season 6?

According to the site, Stefan will be “devastated over the (apparent) loss of his brother,” and will find comfort from a “surprising source.” Color us intrigued. Who might they be talking about? Well, if we had to imagine who Stefan might find comfort with, we’d go with either Elena or Caroline, so we’re guessing it’s neither of them.

Our dream guess: Enzo (Michael Malarkey). We know Enzo will be a series regular in Season 6 and it would be very surprising to see these two willingly hanging out. After all, Enzo forced Stefan to kill him, haunted the Salvatore bros following his death, and made it back from the Other Side when Damon didn’t. On the other hand, both Enzo and Stefan love Damon. Damon was Enzo’s only friend, even if the latter focused his murderous tendencies on his BFF after finding out Damon killed his girlfriend in the 1960s. We could see these two vampire bros bonding over the Damon-shaped holes in their hearts. And that would make for great television, no?
