Forget those rumours about Nina Dobrev throwing shade at Ian Somerhalder and his rumoured new girlfriend because it looks like the pair have buried the hatchet just in time to talk The Vampire Diaries at Comic Con with co-stars Kat Graham, Paul Wesley and Matthew Davis.
Hitting the panel stage to share a few secrets about Season 6, the gang were in high spirits - although we couldn't help noticing Ian and Nina were sitting as afar apart from each other as possible this time around.
Either way, we couldn't give two hoots about all that right now because the appearance of Kat and Ian on the panel means they definitely aren't gone for good and will be making a reappearance in the upcoming series of the swoony vampire themed drama.
Lucky really, because if they'd both been ditched from the show, we were basically ready to go feral and suck the producers' blood in protest. Not really, but the struggle is still real.
"You'll see enough of them to make you happy and more as it goes along. They are by no means going to be off the air for six episodes," The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec told E! News, explaining that it;ll be 6 long episodes without us really knowing where they are. "The mystery is where are they, what happened, are they dead, not dead, and what the hell are they going to do together, those two of all people?"
Chatting about how Elena and Stefan deal with their grief over the apparent loss of their brother, lover and BFF, she added: "It's surprising, only in that it's not instantly what you'd expect. They're both grieving, but they're both coping with their grief in very specific and not necessarily conventional ways."
OH SWEET JESUS. If this means Stefan and Elena get it on, we may be forced to eat our own eyes in excitement. But also horror. We're just so torn.
