“Claremont Lounge in The ATL with @ninadobrev Father/Daughter Bro Out #tbt,” David Anders (John Gilbert) captioned the adorable photo of him and Nina.
We bid a fond farewell to John a long time ago, but he did make a surprise appearance in the 100th episode of The Vampire Diaries — Season 5, Episode 11 (“500 Years of Solitude”) — in which he appeared to Katherine Pierce in one of her near-death hallucinations. He dealt her a little karmic realness when he said “Hello, fingers! Goodbye, fingers!”
David and his portrayal of Uncle John are sorely missed on the CW show but at least we know that he and Nina are besties forever!
