Vampire Diaries Stars Share Their Adorable Mother's Day Shout-Outs
On Mother’s Day 2014, the stars of The Vampire Diaries came out in full force paying homage to the ladies who helped create them. The CW guys and gals were not shy when it came to giving their adorable moms a big shout-out, either sticking with a 140-character tweet or adding a cute photo.
Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, Kat Graham, Ian Somerhalder, Steven R. McQueen, and Zach Roerig took time out of their Sunday to praise their mothers. We’ll just assume the others were too busy showering their parental unit with flowers and gifts to bother with social media.
The concept of motherhood isn’t often addressed on The Vampire Diaries, but we did get to see a bit of that dynamic between Katherine Pierce (Nina) and Nadia Petrova during Season 5. Though Katherine wasn’t always a good mother to Nadia, she seemingly made up for it as her daughter lay dying. We know you got sucked into the dark, black afterlife, Katherine, but you were kind of a good mom!
