Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Paul Wesley Tweets "Blue Screen" Shot From Season 5, Episode 18
Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) has been pulling double duty this past week. He stepped behind the camera as director ofSeason 5, Episode 18, and that means early morning, late nights, and everything in-between. Check out what the TVDer was up to this past Saturday night.
“Spending my Saturday night directing a blue screen shot,” Paul tweeted, along with a pic of an actress standing in front of a blue screen. In television and film, blue screens are used for special effects shots in which the background will be replaced digitally following the filming of the scene. The actress in the shot is in shadow, so it’s hard to determine who it is or what kind of scene this might be, but we’re hoping it’s suitably epic.
This isn’t the first glimpse we’ve had of Paul hard at work on set. Last week, Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) tweeted a shot of Paul in front of the camera as Stefan after presumably having set the shot up himself as director: “@paulwesley directing @paulvedere,” Nina captioned the snapshot.
Before that, Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) was the one snapping director-in-action shots. She shared a pic of Paul rocking a backwards baseball hat in the director’s chair. Meanwhile, Michael Trevino (Tyler) shared his support in a less traditional way: by planning pranks. Michael told the crowd at the aTV Festival panel discussion earlier this month: “I’m gonna f—k with him so bad,” “I can’t wait! I can’t wait for his first note. I’ll be like, ‘What’d you say?’” So much TVD love!
