Nina Dobrev is so sweet — especially to the people she loves the most! The Vampire Diaries actress may be one of the most popular vampires in the world, but she never forgets where she came from, nor the people who have supported her along the way. Check out this adorable pic of Nina and her mom Michaela on vacation together.

Nina’s mom seems a constant support for her daughter. In Season 1 of TVD, she helped Nina fix some of Katherine’s Bulgarian lines. (Both Nina and her mother, who were both born in Bulgaria, speak fluent Bulgarian.) In 2012, they went on a mother-daughter shopping date in coordinated outfits.
And, if you assume this is the first time the two have traveled to France together, then you must have missed the Parisian trip where Nina and then-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder brought both of their mothers to the City of Love. They have been mobbed by fans for much of the trip, but the gang seemed to have a great time — enough for Nina and Michaela to return to France together a few years later.
