Sneak Peek Photos For Season 5, Episode 21

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Sneak Peek Photos For Season 5, Episode 21 — Stefan and Elena Outrun Death

The Season 5 finale of The Vampire Diaries is right now around the corner, and things are getting more dramatic by the week as we get closer and closer to that “emotional” ending. Episode 21 (airing Tuesday, May 8) may be titled “Promised Land,” but there seems to be no semblance of hope or happiness working its way through Mystic Falls.

According to the official synopsis from the CW, Stefan and Elena find themselves trapped in yet another remote location after breaking free from Markos’s hold. It sounds like the duo have a lot of time on their hands to engage in some heart-to-hearts, as Stefan offers up some romantic advice for Elena’s relationship with Damon. (Yeah, that’s not awkward at all.)

Meanwhile, get ready for some witchy moments from wonder twins Liv and Luke, who cook up a dangerous new plan to protect the dopplegangers. Damon sets a plan in motion of his own and enlists the help of Jeremy and Matt — yet Markos has a horrible surprise that nobody could have seen coming.

Later, as Bonnie tries desperately to find a way to stop Markos, Caroline witnesses an “unthinkable act of violence: by one of the Travelers. (Uh oh. Is this one the “major deaths” we’ve been hearing about for awhile? Say it ain’t so!)
