Interaction?

Will Stefan and Caroline Interact in Season 5, Episode 18?

The latest episode of The Vampire Diaries was heavy on the Steroline — but will that trend continue in the next ep, Season 5, Episode 18 (“Resident Evil”)? Paul Wesley (Stefan), who directed as well as starred in the episode, weighed in to E! Online on the matter.
Unfortunately, there won’t be much time spent on the relationship between Stefan and Caroline (Candice Accola) in the April 17 episode. According to Paul: "Stefan and Caroline don't interact in my episode. Actually they talk on the phone!" We’ll take it! These two were one of the freshest and most affecting part of the last episode. That scene in the station wagon? Beyond adorable.
It sounds like Episode 18 will be less about the Steroline and more about the Stelena. In the promo for the episode, we see that Stefan and Elena (Nina Dobrev) are having vision-type dreams of one another. In the visions, they are sharing glimpses at what their life could have been with, complete with children, kitchen makeout sessions, and general sappiness. And it’s making their lives out in the real world hella awkward.
As for the possibility of more Steroline focus — possibly of the romantic variety — moving forward, both Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Paul seemed to imply that a Steroline development might be in the cards at the PaleyFest panel. Ian called the two “pretty cute” together and Paul joked that Candice’s fiance might not be happy with a Steroline ship. Basically, they talked around the question — which always makes us suspicious.
Meanwhile, Candice told Entertainment Weekly: “So there’s definitely been speculation and some build up, and it would definitely be a bold choice for both of them to engage in any sort of romantic relationship given the friendship of Caroline and Elena and the history between Elena and Stefan. And so you never know what can happen in the future between these two characters, but I imagine it being very dramatic if anything were to happen.” Interesting...
