5 Characters Katherine Should Possess Next
Confession: we don’t want Katherine (Nina Dobrev) to leave The Vampire Diaries. Like, ever. However, we can understand how that might be tricky, given the show is short one Petrova doppelganger bod. No need to panic, though. There are plenty of other characters for Kat to jump into if forced out of Elena’s body! Here are our top five choices.
Caroline

This choice is Nina approved! The actress told MTV News that Candice Accola (Caroline) would make a good Katherine, and we totally agree. It totally works within the narrative, too. We’ve said before that Katherine and Caroline would make the best besties, and Katherine has more-or-less said that Caroline is her favorite of Elena’s besties. Plus, Katherine has already gotten used to the Whitmore College campus and the dorm as Elena. She’d hardly have to move her stuff!

Nadia

We know Katherine said that she wouldn’t possess Nadia’s body (even when her daughter offered), but might that have only been part of the scheme to get into Elena’s body. If given the choice again, would Katherine decide to passenger her own daughter? We wouldn’t put it past her. Sentimentality aside, Nadia is a pretty good choice: she’s a vampire, she’s a mega-babe, and she looks a lot like Katherine. All pluses in Katherine’s book!

Damon

Damon’s pretty unstable right now, but he’s also super powerful. If Katherine jumped into Damon’s body, she’d be more powerful than anyone else in town. She’d have the upper hand again after of months of having to suffer as a frail human and rely on the mercy of others. Plus, it would be major payback for that time Damon fed her to Silas. Win, win!

Tyler

Speaking of powerful characters, Tyler is a hybrid, which seems pretty cool to us. Sure, Klaus can soundly defeat Tyler, but not many other people can. He has the power of the werewolf and the vampire running in his veins. Mega-power! Plus, you get Matt as a roomie, which has to be a pro in anyone’s book, right?

Markos
If Katherine holds out a while longer, she might just be able to catch the Big Baddie when he comes to town. We’ve heard rumblings of Markos, a leader from a faraway land who we assume commands the Travelers. Katherine’s seems to like when masses of people to adore her (exhibit “A”: when she compelled an entire town to be her friend). Markos might be the perfect post-Elena target.
